Takiwasi received a prize from "One" Foundation, which aims to bring Man and Nature closer together, by promoting an inner change that contributes to this reconciliation. Apart from a monetary award, the nomination is intended to communicate and promote the initiatives supported, and stimulate the commitment of other social entrepreneurs. Among the 4 award categories, Education, Nature, Solidarity and Awareness, Takiwasi received this recognition in the Nature category. Recognition and greeting motion of the Congress of the Republic

Successful Experience of BioTrade and Sustainable Development

The case study on the work of the Takiwasi Laboratory conducted by Patricia Cabanillas, Ricci Sandoval and Francisco Ruiz and entitled "Revaluation of Ancestral Amazonian Knowledge and Commercialization of Native Medicinal Plants of the San Martín Region" has obtained the first place in the postgraduate category of the VIII Contest of Successful Experiences of BioTrade and Sustainable Development of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, November 14, 2017.

In 2014 Dr. Jacques Mabit, physician, president and founder of the Takiwasi Center, has been appointed Member of the Association of European Psychoanalysts.


Marca Perú for institutional use and products

The Takiwasi Center has received the approval to use the “Marca Perú” brand for institutional purposes and for the products made by its Natural Products Laboratory such as the lines of herbal teas based on Amazonian medicinal plants Nuwa and Sumak, in recognition of the promotion of the image of the country that the institution accomplishes.

DEVIDA Award

Takiwasi has been awarded for the development of good practices in treatment and rehabilitation of drug abuse by the National Commission for Development and Life Without Drugs - DEVIDA - Perú 2010. The Center has been awarded by DEVIDA in the categories "Good practices in Prevention and Treatment of Drug Addiction" for its program of prevention of psychosocial risks and promotion of life skills in the High-School "Santa Rosa", and for "Good Practices in the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Drug Abuse", within the framework of the “I Call for Good Practices in the Area of Prevention and Treatment of Drug Consumption – 2010”.


Latin American Prize for Indigenous Spirituality - Doctor Esteban Emiliano Mosonyi

Takiwasi was awarded the "Latin American Prize for Indigenous Spirituality - Doctor Esteban Emiliano Mosonyi, CISEI 2010", during the Sixth International Forum on Spirituality of the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas entitled "Ancestral wisdom, healing and spirit of the air", April 8, 9 and 10, 2010. The prize was awarded in recognition for its good practices in the prevention and treatment of drug addiction.


Civic medal of the City of Tarapoto

The Takiwasi Center has been awarded the Civic Medal of the City of Tarapoto for its work of rehabilitation and research on alternative medicines and the service provided to society. Its founder, the French-Peruvian doctor Jacques Mabit, the medical doctor, researcher and co-founder, Rosa Giove, and the psychologist and executive director of the Center, Jaime Torres, received the award accompanied by a diploma of recognition on the 5th of September 2009, during the city council meeting.


Ayahuasca recognized Cultural Heritage of the Peruvian Nation

Declaration of Cultural Heritage of the Nation to the "Traditional knowledge and uses of Ayahuasca practiced by native Amazonian communities", July 2008.
